General description
Glutaraldehyd ist in der Lage, Amin- und Hydrazin-Derivate effizient mit Proteinen und anderen aminhaltigen Polymeren zu vernetzen. Insbesondere bei bestimmten Reaktionen wurden Biotin-Hydrazide mithilfe von Glutaraldehyd direkt an Nukleinsäuren gekuppelt, was einen potenziellen Nutzen bei der Konjugation von fluoreszierenden Hydraziden und Hydroxylaminen mit der DNA darstellt. In histologischen Studien wird Glutaraldehyd auch eingesetzt, um Gewebeschnitte zu konservieren und sie für eine genauere Untersuchung zu präparieren.
Application
- Zum Herstellen der Fixierungslösung (Glutaraldehyd + Paraformaldehyd + NaPO4) für Untersuchungen unter Anwendung von hochauflösender Lichtmikroskopie und Elektronenmikroskopie.
- Zum Untersuchen der Konjugation von Anti-Meerrettichperoxidase der Ziege mit alkalischer Phosphatase unter Anwendung einer beschriebenen Methode.[1]
- Zum Herstellen des primären Fixierungsmittels zum Schutz der zytoplasmischen Funktionen von Hefezellen während der Permanganatfixierung.[2]

If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. Can I use 340855-1L for fixation of bacterial cells for SEM imaging?

This product has not been tested for use in sensitive applications such as SEM. It may be suitable, however, this has not been validated. Alternatively, there are several products that have been tested for use as a fixative in electron microscopy. See the links below to review each option.
