Allgemeine Beschreibung

Phosphocholine is considered as a precursor molecule of phosphatidylcholine.[1] 19:0 PC is a linear saturated acyl chain with 19 carbon atoms.[2]

The list of Phosphatidylcholine products offered by Avanti is designed to provide compounds having a variety of physical properties. Products available include short chain (C3-C8 are water soluble and hygroscopic), saturated, multi-unsaturated and mixed acid PC′s. All of the products are purified by HPLC, and special precautions are taken to protect the products for oxidization and hydrolysis.

Anwendung

19:0 PC may be used:

• as an internal standard to extract total lipids from human brain region homogenates[3]
• in multilamellar vesicles for biophysical studies[2]
• as an internal standard for soil microbial community analysis[4]
