Description générale

Anti-CRABP2 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total CRABP2 protein.
Cellular retinoic acid binding protein 2 (CRABP2) is an intracellular lipid-binding protein, involved in the stimulation of receptor transcriptional activity. It has been reported that CRABP-II contains three potential sUMOylation sites centered at K45, K87, and K102.

Immunogène

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human CRABP2.

Immunogen Range: 41-90

Application

Anti-CRABP2 antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for indirect ELISA and western blot analysis.

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

Cellular retinoic acid binding protein 2 (CRABP2) plays a crucial role in acceleration of the transcriptional activity. In the nucleus, by binding directly to the nuclear receptor RAR, it forms a complex for connecting retinoic acid (RA) from the binding protein to the receptor. This interaction finally helps to accelerate the transcriptional activity. It may have impact in the immature phenotype in glioma cells.
