Descrição geral

Porous polymers are the most suitable adsorbent for applications based on the analysis of gases, acids, amines, organics of low carbon number and water.[1] They are best suited for gas chromatography and are basically copolymers of polydivinylbenzene (DVB) which are very porous in nature ranging from mesoporous to microporous.[2] Porapak S is a porous polymer composed of vinyl pyridine and is most suitable for separation of normal and branched alcohols.[3]
Porapak porous polymers are spherical beads with consistent particle size, porosity, and surface area that help to insure analytical precision and accuracy.

Aplicação

Porapak S maybe used in isothermal gas chromatographic analysis of light gases, for detection and separation of CO2, C2H2, C2H4 and C2H6.[3]

  5. What does the 100/120 stand for in the product description?

    1. The 100/120 refers to the mesh size range of the actual particles.  When working with mesh size: the larger the mesh number, the smaller the diameter of the particle.  In this case 100 refers to a diameter of 149 microns and 120 refers to a diameter of 125 microns.  Therefore; the particles in this product with 100/120 will range between 125 microns and 149 microns.
