A non-producing lymphoblastoid cell line known to carry Herpesvirus papio. The cells are said to exhibit a nuclear antigen similar to Epstein-Barr nuclear antigen and B-cell characteristics (EAC rosettes) but lack detectable Ig production.
Maintain cultures between 100,000 to 1,000,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37 °C.
