General description

Gelatine aus Kaltwasserfischhaut weist niedrige Gelier- und Schmelzpunkte auf. Diese Gelatine geliert nicht bei 10 Grad Celsius und hat daher keine Gallertfestigkeit (Bloom Strength).

Application

Bei der Vorbereitung der Wasserphase wurde Gelatine aus Kaltwasserfischhaut verwendet. Es wird auch für das anhaltende Wachstum in einer statischen Kultur und bei der Flavopiridol-Behandlung und Transkript-Markierung eingesetzt.
Wird in der Immunchemie als Blockierungsmittel verwendet.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Gelatine aus Kaltwasserfischhaut kann je nach Geliereigenschaften zur Vorbereitung verschiedener Gele eingesetzt werden. Sie kann auch als Zusatzstoff bei der Surimi-Verarbeitung zur Verbesserung der funktionellen und mechanischen Eigenschaften des Gels verwendet werden.

  4. What is the melting point of this specific fish gelatin?

    1. Dry gelatin, when heated to 100 °C in the presence of air, swells and becomes soft, disintegrating to a carbonaceous mass. Solidified solutions may be reliquified at 37°C.     1. This powdered gelatin product is not specifically tested for use as a blocking agent in Elisa. Typically, Fish Skin Gelatin is prepared in a buffer at a concentration of 1 - 5% for this application. Please see the link below to review an article that may be helpful.

    World's finest gelatin from cold water fish skin

    This is quite possibly the most exquisite gelatin from cold water fish skin I have ever used. Upon opening the bottle, I could tell just by the sheen on the slightly granular crystals that this gelatin from cold water fish skin was unlike any I had ever encountered.

    using it to coat plates

    The product is good enough, however it would be great if it came from one species instead of a mix of different many ones
