General description

Application

Cellulase aus Aspergillus sp. wurde bei der Analyse der biologischen Abbaubarkeit von BBC (bioabsorbierbarer Bakteriencellulose) zum Abbau von Cello-Oligosacchariden zu Glucose verwendet.[1] Das Enzym wurde auch in der Photonenkorrelationsspektroskopie zur Untersuchung seiner Wirkung auf unfiltrierte Bierproben eingesetzt. Die bewerteten Parameter dieser spektroskopischen Analyse waren die Größe der suspendierten Teilchen, der Durchfluss und die Trübungsstabilität.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Cellulasen sind Enzyme, die Cellulose, ein lineares Polymer aus Anhydroglucoseeinheiten, die durch β-1,4-Glykosidbindungen verbunden sind, zu Glucose hydrolysieren. Endo-β-D-glucanase ist eines der Hauptkomponentenenzyme des Cellulasekomplexes. Es katalysiert die Hydrolyse von Cellulose durch zufällige Teilung der Zuckerreste innerhalb des Moleküls. Exo-β-D-glucanase und β-Glucosidase können Cellulose synergistisch zu Glucose umwandeln, und werden daher im industriellen Maßstab eingesetzt.[2]

    1. This is a product of Novozyme Corp. The protein content is not among its release specifications. Its efficacy is determined by its enzymatic activity in terms of units per gram liquid. To get a units/mL value, one can use the density value of approximately 1.2 g/mL to convert to a units/mL value for each lot.

    1. Unfortunately, the enzyme activity is not tested in terms of filter paper units (FPU). It is presented as U/g.

      Kindly review the following citation that provides a reference to the FPU method (Adney and Baker). As this value is not presented on the certificate of analysis, it may be necessary to re-assess the FPU for every batch received:
