General description
Albumin macht 60 % des Plasmaproteins aus, das von der Leber produziert wird. Es regelt den kolloidosmotischen Druck. Albumin ist am Transport, der Verteilung und dem Metabolismus von Fettsäuren, Schilddrüsenhormonen und Arzneimitteln beteiligt. Es reduziert die Gewichtszunahme, blockiert Lungenödeme, lindert Aszites und verringert Gewebeödeme.
Application
Albumin−fluoreszein-Isothiocyanat-Konjugat wurde verwendet:
- als Kontrolle für den Vergleich der intrazellulären Freisetzungeffizienz von Proteinen mit oder ohne Träger
- für die fluoreszente Visualisierung von Proteinen und Zellen
- als Blockierungsmittel in ELISA
- als chemisches Mittel zur Gehirnperfusion und -fixation
- für In-vivo-Experimente zur kapillar–epithelialen Permeabilität
- für die konfokale Mikroskopie des rechten ventrikulären (RV) Gefäßsystems von Ratten
