General description
Antibiotische antimykotische Lösung ist mit 10.000 Einheiten Penicillin, 10 mg Streptomycin und 25 μg Amphotericin B pro ml formuliert und in einem proprietären Citratpuffer gelöst. Sie wird in einer Konzentration von 10 ml/l für Zellkulturanwendungen empfohlen. Antibiotische antimykotische Lösung wird im Allgemeinen eingesetzt, um das Wachstum schädlicher Mikroorganismen, einschließlich Bakterien und Pilzen, in Zellkulturmedien zu verhindern.
Application
Anwendungsgebiete der antibiotischen antimykotischen Lösung:
- Als Zusatz zu verschiedenen Arten von Zellkulturmedien.
- Als Bestandteil von steriler phosphatgepufferter Kochsalzlösung (PBS) zur Vermeidung einer Kontamination von isolierten und kultivierten Wurzelhautfibroblasten(PDLF)-Geweben in den Experimenten.
- Als Bestandteil der Aufbewahrungslösung zur Konservierung von entnommenen trachealen Segmenten für die nachfolgende experimentelle Untersuchung.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Wirkungsweise: Penicillin hemmt die bakterielle Zellwandsynthese. Streptomycin hemmt die Prokaryotproteinsynthese durch Verhindern des Übergangs vom Initiationskomplex zum kettenverlängernden Ribosom und führt zu einer Fehlcodierung. Amphotericin B beeinflusst die Durchlässigkeit der Pilzmembran durch Bildung von Kanälen in den Membranen, wodurch kleine Moleküle entweichen.

Hello, Could you please confirm that the antibiotic/antimycotic is tested for sterility as this does not appear on your CoA.

This product is sterile filtered through a 0.1 μm membrane. However, sterility testing is not performed on the finished product.

I am looking at the SDS for product number A5955, Antibiotic Antimycotic soln. I do not see Amphotericin B in composition of ingredients (3.2 mixtures). I want to know why. Thank you.

Section 3 of SDS shows only the hazardous component information. Product# A5955 contains microgram amounts of Amphotericin B. At this concentration it is non-hazardous, hence section 3 of SDS does not list Amphotericin B.
