General description
D(+)-Biotin ist das einfachste Reagenz für die Zugabe von Biotin zu Peptiden, Proteinen und anderen Biomolekülen. Bei der SPPS ist die Kombination mit DIPCDI/Oxyma Pure am besten. Für biotinylierte Peptide gibt es viele wichtige Anwendungen in der Immunologie und Histochemie, wie z. B. Affinitätsreinigung und FRET-basierte Durchflusszytometrie, Festphasen-Immunassays und Rezeptorlokalisierung, welche die hohe Affinität von Streptavidin und Avidin für Biotin nutzen.,,,

- In der spezifischen Biotinylierung multipodaler Glykan-Cluster auf einem festen Träger. Die Synthese von biotinylierten Glykan-Clustern findet in der Glykobiologie wichtige Anwendung.
