Potenter, reversibler Proteasom-Inhibitor (K_i = 21 nM und 35 nM für das 20S- bzw. 26S-Proteasom). Hemmt spezifisch die chymotrypsin-ähnliche Aktivität des Proteasoms und induziert die Apoptose in Rat-1- und PC12-Zellen.
