Beschreibung

General description

Ein zellpermeabler hybridpolarer Wirkstoff der zweiten Generation, der als ein Histondeacetylase(HDAC)-Inhibitor wirkt. Es wird angenommen, dass die HDAC-Hemmung durch Bindung der Hydroxamsäuregruppe an Zink am aktiven Situs bewirkt wird. Ist nachweislich ein potenter Induktor von Wachstumsarrest und terminaler Differenzierung in transformierten Zellen (~4 µ;M). Induziert Apoptose und CD95/CD95-Ligandexpression in humanen Neuroblastomzellen, die durch den Caspase-Inhibitor Z-VAD-FMK (Best.-Nr. 627610) blockiert werden kann.
