Beschreibung

General description

Ein zellpermeables Derivat von Glutathion (GSH), das von intrazellulären Esterasen hydrolysiert wird und dadurch die intrazelluläre GSH-Konzentration in vielen Gewebe- und Zelltypen erhöht. Der effektive Transport von GSH-MEE wird genutzt, um Zellen vor Strahlungsschäden, Oxidationsmitteln und verschiedenen toxischen Verbindungen, einschließlich Schwermetallen, zu schützen. Ein Mittel, um vor Zellschäden zu schützen, die beispielsweise bei Katarakt und Mitochondrienabbau entstehen.
