Allgemeine Beschreibung

(3-Mercaptopropyl)trimethoxysilan (MPTMS) ist ein Organosilan mit einer Thiolgruppe, das als selbstorganisierende Monolage (Self-assembled Monolayer, SAM) verwendet werden kann. Es kann als Verbindungsreagenz zur Immobilisierung verschiedener Nanopartikel eingesetzt werden.[1][2]
(3-Mercaptopropyl)trimethoxysilan (MPTMS) wird vorherrschend als Vorstufe von Kieselerde verwendet.

Anwendung

MPTMS kann zum Schutz vor Korrosion auf quaternärer Bronze in urbaner Atmosphäre mit TiO2, CeO2 und La2O3 beschichtet werden.[3] Es kann außerdem als Kieselerde-Nanofluid (NF) verwendet werden, um die Oberfläche von Berea-Sandstein zu modifizieren und so den Bereich der tertiären Ölgewinnung (Enhanced Oil Recovery, EOR) in der Erdölindustrie zu verbessern.[1] MPTMS bildet ein Komposit mit Kaolin, das als Absorbens zur Entfernung von Schwermetallen aus Abwässern verwendet werden kann.[4] MPTMS kann eine Doppelschicht mit mehrwandigen Kohlenstoffnanoröhrchen (MWNT) auf Goldelektroden bilden, die zur Erforschung der elektrochemischen Eigenschaften von Fluphenazin verwendet werden können.[2]

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.     1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
