General description

2-Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) is a water soluble biopolymer that is majorly used as a thickener and an adhesive. It has water retention which also includes good film forming ability for protective covering.
Non-ionic water soluble polymer. Aqueous solutions are pseudoplastic. Readily disperses without lumping.

Application

Thickener, protective colloid, binder, stabilizer and suspending agent.
