General description

Resomer® R 205 S, Poly(D,L-lactide) (PDLLA), a biodegradable and biocompatible polymer, can be used for a variety of biological applications. It shows properties like long degradation time, mechanical stiffness and hydrophobicity.

Application

PDLLA can be used in the fabrication of a wireless pressure sensor for the monitoring of health. Its ability to form scaffolds makes it a useful biomaterial in biomedical and tissue engineering.
