General description

We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product was Designed for Safer Chemistry

Application

Nancy-520 is a fluorescent stain for dsDNA on agarose electrophoresis gels, with higher sensitivity than ethidium bromide and an easy, fast, and robust staining procedure. It is provided as a 5000x stock solution (500 μl), which is sufficient for 50 agarose gels. The limit of detection is 0.5 ng/band of dsDNA.
In addition, Nancy-520 can be used to determine dsDNA concentrations in solution, with a linear range between 0 - 2 μg/ml of DNA. Nancy 520

Nancy-520 has been used successfully in PCR (Real time-PCR) applications.
