General description
Huh-712D is one of a series of stable HDAg (Hepatitis Delta Antigen)-expressing human hepatoma cell lines that have been isolated and characterised. Huh-7D is a derivative of Huh-7 cells, which favor hepatitis C virus replication. Huh-7 cells are superior hepatic cell models compared to HepG2 cells for apolipoprotein based metabolic studies.[1][2]

Study of intracellular traffic of delta virus antigens and RNA, viral RNA replication and early virus assembly events, and interaction between HDV and HBV.

Preparation Note
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:5 i.e. seeding at 3-5x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37 C. Media change twice a week
