Chrysamine G is a carboxylic acid derivative of Congo red.[1]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Chrysamine G can penetrate the blood-brain barrier. It is useful in quantifying cerebral amyloid β (Aβ) deposition in Alzheimer′s disease (AD) pathological studies.[1]
