How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Transport conditions might differ from long-term storage conditions and therefore, can be considered as a short-term deviation from storage conditions. During shipment, there may be short-term exposure to conditions other than those recommended for long-term storage.
If the internal assessment and/or long-term experience with the product shows no significant risk to product quality or stability, no specific transport requirements are applied which means the product is shipped under neither temperature-controlled nor temperature-monitored conditions.
