Questions

  1. What is the mixture of stain to buffer for the Wright Giemsa Fucillo solution?

    1 answer
    1. As per the instructions located on page 1 of the Instructions for Use, the stain buffer mix is prepared by combining 50 ml of the Wright Giemsa Fucillo stain with 250 ml of buffer. Depending on user preference, the pH of the buffer should be either pH 6.4 or 6.8. It is conceivable that some users might prefer a slightly more alkaline pH buffer. The stain buffer mixture should remain effective for at least 3 hours, but it is possible that it might remain effective for as long as 24 hours or perhaps slightly longer. When the stain quality begins to deteriorate, the stain buffer mix should be replaced.

    Beautiful stain

We have great results with this stain for a manual technique. It works very well with the phosphate buffer with a pH of 6,4.
