Two pore segment channel 2 (TPCN2) is a cation release channel expressed in the lysosome. It may be a receptor for nicotinic acid adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NAADP). The protein is a constituent of the platelet dense granule membrane. The gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 11q13.

生化／生理作用
Two pore segment channel 2 (TPCN2) has a role in regulating metabolism. It also has a role in insulin and glucose regulation. Studies have shown that single nucleotide polymorphisms in the gene encoding this protein are linked to type 2 diabetes risk. TPCN2 has an influence on the release of Ca2+ and regulating luminal pH in platelet dense granules.
