小眼症相关转录因子（MITF）是一种bHLH-ZIP转录因子，可识别靶基因启动子区域中的E-box（CAYRTG）和M-box（TCAYRTG或CAYRTGA）序列。小眼症相关转录因子（MITF）是黑素细胞增殖、发育、存活和黑色素瘤形成的主要调节剂，也是破骨细胞形成的重要调节剂。
