Perfluoropentanoic acid is a persistent organic pollutant belonging to the perfluorinated (PFCs) class of compounds. These compounds are used in a variety of industrial applications, such as textile paints, polishes, adhesives, electronics, waxes, stain repellents, and food packaging.[1][2]

應用

Perfluoropentanoic acid may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in fish using liquid chromatography–quadrupole-linear ion trap mass spectrometry (LC–QqLIT–MS)[1] and in natural water samples using high-performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection (HPLC-FLD).[2]
