Phosphoethanolamine (PHOS) is a precursor to phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine.[1] 18:1 PE CF is a green fluorescent tagged phosphatidylethanolamine.[2]

應用

18:1 PE CF may be used:
  • to spike human serum[3]
  • to prepare concentrated lipid mix, PC:PE:fluoPE to assess basal binding properties and PC:PE:fluoPE:PIP to assess specific binding properties of the protein to each phosphoinositides (PIP)[4]
  • to prepare the large unilamellar vesicles (LUVs)[4]
  • in the preparation of fluorescent phosphoinositide?containing liposomes[5]
  • for fluorescent labeling of total lipids to the initial liposome formulation mixture[2]
  • in the formulation of pegylated magneto-liposomes (MLs) and transferrin (Tf) embedding[2]

生化/生理作用

Phosphatidylethanolamine controls the membrane fluidity in eukaryotic cells.[6] Phosphoethanolamine (PHOS) has the ability to repress tumour growth both in vitro and in vivo.[1] It possesses anticarcinogenic effects. It can also prevent the mRNA expression of cyclin D1 and VEGFR1 (vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1).[7]
