3,6-二-2-吡啶基-1,2,4,5-四嗪（DPTZ）与CuSO₄·6H₂O和Cu（Ac）₂·H₂O进行溶剂热反应可生成含铜配位聚合物。[1] 它能与吗啉的烯胺衍生物和5-、6-、7-和8-元环酮反应，得到哒嗪衍生物。[2]

通过高速振动铣削技术，3,6-二-2-吡啶基-1,2,4,5-四嗪可与富勒烯C₆₀发生固态反应。[3] 它在逆电子需求Diels Alder反应中充当缺电子二烯。[4]
