應用

Bis(triphenylsilyl) chromate [(Ph₃SiO)₂] can be used as a catalyst:

• For ethylene polymerization.[1]
• For the conversion of secondary benzylic and allylic trimethylsilyl ethers to ketones by oxidation reaction using tert-butyl hydroperoxide.[2]

It can also be used to prepare supported catalysts with silica gel or montmorillonite K-10. These catalysts can be used in the oxidation of alcohols to corresponding carbonyl compounds.[3][4]
