應用
该产品旨在组织培养板上形成薄层涂层，以促进贴壁依赖性细胞的附着，推荐以6-10 μg/cm2使用。它不适用于3D凝胶的生产。 I型胶原通常可用于细胞培养中作为粘附基质，成肌细胞、脊神经节、肝细胞、胚胎肺、心脏外植体、成纤维细胞、内皮细胞和胰岛细胞均已成功在I型胶原的薄膜或凝胶上培养。I型胶原蛋白也可用于特发性肺纤维化（IPF）的研究，以及ER应激IPF对肺成纤维细胞的影响的研究。酸性溶液中的胶原蛋白可以产生三维支架，可应用于生物工程和细胞培养。
生化／生理作用
I型胶原蛋白是皮肤、骨骼、肌腱和其他纤维结缔组织的组成部分。
成分
所有胶原分子由以三螺旋构象排列的三条多肽链组成，其主要结构是在每三个位置具有甘氨酸的重复基序，并且脯氨酸或4-羟基脯氨酸经常出现在甘氨酸残基之前。I型胶原蛋白与其他胶原蛋白的不同之处在于其低赖氨酸羟基化和低碳水化合物组成。
準備報告
通过改进Niyibizi, C., et al., J. Biol. Chem., 259, 14170 (1984).所报道的胃蛋白酶提取和盐分馏方法进行制备。它是一种酸溶性胶原蛋白，可以溶解在水中，加入乙酸至pH3.0（5 mg/mL），可得到乳白色溶液。
