硫酸卡那霉素是来源于卡那链霉菌的广谱氨基糖苷类抗生素。 它可用作培养基添加剂，用于在卡那霉素七叶苷叠氮琼脂上分离D群链球菌、在卡那霉素培养基上选择含有新霉素磷酸转移酶的转化植物细胞。 硫酸卡那霉素还可用作卡那霉素B抗性基因转化细胞的选择剂。 细胞培养推荐使用浓度为100 mg/mL。
生化／生理作用
作用机制：该产品通过与70S核糖体亚基结合，抑制易位并引起错误编码而起作用。
耐药机制：氨基糖苷类修饰酶（包括乙酰转移酶、磷酸转移酶、核苷酸转移酶）可以改变这种抗生素，阻止其与核糖体相互作用。
抗菌谱：硫酸卡那霉素对革兰氏阴性和革兰氏阳性菌以及支原体有效。

溶液在37°C下可稳定保存约5天。 水性储备溶液可在2-8℃下长期保存。
準備報告
硫酸卡那霉素以50 mg/mL溶于水，得到澄清溶液。 它几乎不溶于酒精、丙酮、氯仿、乙醚和乙酸乙酯。 1％水溶液的pH为6.5-8.5。 无菌溶液可以采用0.2μm过滤器进行无菌过滤来制备。
