應用
Bis(triphenylsilyl) chromate [(Ph3SiO)2] can be used as a catalyst:
It can also be used to prepare supported catalysts with silica gel or montmorillonite K-10. These catalysts can be used in the oxidation of alcohols to corresponding carbonyl compounds.
- For ethylene polymerization.
- For the conversion of secondary benzylic and allylic trimethylsilyl ethers to ketones by oxidation reaction using tert-butyl hydroperoxide.
