一般描述

Bromoform is a major organic source for atmospheric reactive bromine BrOx (Br+BrO)[1]. It is formed as a product of chlorination of drinking water[2]. It undergoes photodissociation to form the Br2 fragment and mechanism has been investigated by cavity ring-down absorption spectroscopy[3].

Bromoform was used to evaluate the genotoxicity of chlorodibromomethane, bromodichloromethane and bromoform[2].
