General description

Ginsenoside Rc, a bioactive constituent of plant genus Panax ginseng, belongs to the class of protopanaxadiol-type saponins. It can play an important role in disease prevention owing to its potential physiological activity.[1]

Application

Ginsenoside Rc may be used as an analytical standard for the determination of the analyte in herbal products/extracts containing Panax ginseng (Korean or Chinese ginseng) and P. quinquefolius (American ginseng),[2][3][4][5] biological samples,[6] and milk beverages[7] by liquid chromatography (LC) based techniques.

Other Notes

This compound is commonly found in plants of the genus: panax
