Interleukin-5 (UniProt: P05113; also known as B-cell differentiation factor I, Eosinophil differentiation factor, T-cell replacing factor (TRF)) is encoded by the IL5 gene (Gene ID: 3567) in human. IL-5 belongs to the hematopoietic growth factor family of cytokines. IL-5 forms a homodimer through two inter-subunit disulfide bonds. IL-5 is primarily involved in the differentiation, migration, activation and survival of eosinophils. It plays a key role in the immune system and the regulation of B cell function. IL-5 is mainly produced by activated T cells, particularly Th2 cells, mast cells, and eosinophils. IL-5 has been implicated in diseases such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, and certain parasitic infections. This ZooMAb^® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.

Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products.
