Thrombin generation chromogenic substrate also known as beta-Ala-Gly-Arg para-nitroanilide, is proteolytically cleaved by human thrombin and produces beta-Ala-Gly-Arg and p-nitroanilide. The release of p-nitroanilide is quatified for assesing the anti-thrombin activity.[2]
