Biochem/physiol Actions

C3ORF39 also known as Protein O-linked mannose N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase 2 (POMGNT2; GTDC2) is a protein with glycosyltransferase activity. It is involved in the modification of O-mannosylated α-dystroglycan in the endoplasmic reticulum to generate N-acetyl glucosamine epitopes.[1] Mutations in GTDC2 gene have been identified as the cause of Walker-Warburg syndrome.[2]
