What is the difference between WTA and WGA? I use the TransPlex® Whole Transcriptome Amplification Kit, Product WTA1.
1 answer-
The starting material for WTA is RNA, whereas for WGA it is genomic DNA. After the RNA is reverse-transcribed into the DNA complement by WTA, the OmniPlex library is formed. This library is in turn amplified by PCR.
