Application

Cd-Free phosphor nanoparticles find applications in solid state lighting, sensors, security pigments etc.[1][2][3] Our downshifting rare earth doped fluorescent nanoparticles are based on inorganic host lattices like sulfates, phosphates and vanadates which can be excited by a UV light source with strong emission at 275 nm. The emission characteristics of these nanoparticles has been tuned with dopants such as Bismuth, Cerium, Europium, Terbium etc. and are useful for the aforementioned applications.

Questions

  1. What are the dopants, and are they single or mixed? Additionally, how much of each dopant is present, and how are they measured (in atomic percentage)?

    1 answer
    1. The dopants in the product are Bismuth (Bi) and Dysprosium (Dy). They are added as two different precursor chemicals during the manufacturing process and can be incorporated as single dopants. The quantity of Bi is approximately 3%, and the quantity of Dy is approximately 0.5%. These quantities are measured using atomic percentage.
