General description

El dimetilsulfóxido (DMSO) es un disolvente orgánico polar.[1] El DMSO activado por varios electrófilos (cloruro de oxalilo) se ha utilizado para oxidar varios alcoholes (primarios, secundarios, alílicos, bencílicos, modificados y bicíclicos). Como productos de la reacción se forman compuestos carbonilo.[2] Debido a su mayor estabilidad, se ha propuesto como un disolvente alternativo al metilcelosolve para la reacción de la ninhidrina.[3]

Adecuado para HPCL, espectrofotometría, análisis medioambientales

Caution

Fácilmente superenfriado, vuelve a fundir lentamente a temperatura ambiente. Producto solidificado que puede volver a licuarse por calentamiento a temperatura ambiente sin detrimento del producto.

If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life.     1. DMSO supercools easily, and re-melts slowly at room temperature. The melting point is 16-19 °C. The solidified product can be re-liquefied by warming to room temperature without detriment to the product.
