应用

乳铁蛋白被用于通过阳离子交换膜从牛体内分离乳过氧化物酶和乳铁蛋白。[1]它被用于通过新型免疫传感器测定动物乳汁中的乳铁蛋白和免疫球蛋白G。[2]

生化/生理作用

乳铁蛋白是一种铁结合蛋白。 它的结构与转铁蛋白类似,即血浆铁转运蛋白;但乳铁蛋白对铁的亲和力要高得多(250倍)。它在初乳中的含量非常高,并且在泪液、唾液、粘液分泌物和中性粒细胞的次级颗粒中也少量存在。它由粘膜上皮和嗜中性粒细胞产生,由这些细胞在炎症刺激下释放。乳铁蛋白可以通过与铁螯合而抑制细菌生长,并且通过其N-末端与脂多糖结合而增加细菌细胞壁通透性。乳铁蛋白可以通过与病毒包膜蛋白紧密结合而抑制病毒感染。这能够阻断细胞与病毒的结合域,从而防止细胞-病毒融合。乳铁蛋白可能通过刺激白细胞介素-8(一种中性粒细胞激活剂)的释放而激活宿主防御系统。 它还可能参与抗体和白细胞介素合成、淋巴细胞增殖和补体激活。

    1. This product has not been tested for solubility in plant oils. However, it can be solubilized in water and aqueous solutions, 10 mg/mL of water and 1 mg/mL of PBS, respectively. A brief search of the literature shows that oil emulsions have been frequently studied.
