一般描述
层粘蛋白（小鼠IgG1亚型）单克隆抗体来自于小鼠骨髓瘤细胞和免疫小鼠脾细胞相互融合而产生的杂交瘤细胞。层粘蛋白，最丰富的基底膜结构和生物活性成分，是一种分子量约为900kD的复杂的胞外糖蛋白。层粘蛋白由二硫键连接的一条A链(400 kDa)、一条B1链(215 kDa)和一条B2链(205 kDa)组成。层粘蛋白只存在于大量分布的基底膜中，即包围上皮组织、神经、脂肪细胞和平滑肌、横纹肌和心肌的薄层细胞外基质。
层粘连蛋白是一种分子量为900kD（近似）的复合型细胞外糖蛋白，是基底膜中含量最丰富的结构和生物活性成分。它是一种细胞底物粘附蛋白，因此，在促进神经突再生以及调节分化、细胞形状和细胞运动等细胞功能中具有至关重要的作用。层粘连蛋白单克隆抗体可用于免疫组织化学，以便对各种基底膜相关疾病过程进行分类、标记不同物种的血管壁并确定人类肿瘤的起源和分类。它也可用于斑点印迹分析。小鼠抗层粘连蛋白抗体能够与纯化的人层粘连蛋白发生特异性反应，但不会与胶原蛋白IV、纤连蛋白、玻连蛋白或A、B和C型硫酸软骨素反应。

层粘蛋白单克隆抗体可用于间接免疫染色法测定层连蛋白的分布。也可用于ELISA、免疫荧光和蛋白质印迹分析。
生化/生理作用
层粘蛋白是重要的细胞外基质粘附蛋白，在促进神经突再生和调节细胞分化、细胞形状和迁移等细胞功能中起着重要作用。它在许多细胞生物学过程中起重要作用，胚胎发生、器官发生、创伤后愈合和癌症中都观察到此蛋白表达变化。
