一般描述

再生或激活:
饱和分子筛可以通过再生恢复到其原始容量,其原理涉及改变吸附剂周围的条件以获得非常低的平衡容量。通常,吸附和再生的平衡能力之间的差异越大,则再生的越快且更完全。
分子筛可以通过以下四种方式之一进行再生:
1.热再活化 - 二氧化硅的最高再生温度为300°C。
2.压力再活化
3.在常温常压下将适当的液体通过凝胶床。
4.通过使高浓度分子在流体中通过凝胶床,从而去除吸附物。
选择一种分子筛:
1.分子吸附的先后取决于孔径和网孔尺寸。
2.硅胶吸附特定化合物的动态能力取决于其内表面积;表面积越大,动态容量越大。
3.吸附速率和分辨率的清晰度主要取决于粒径和柱填充;细小的颗粒尺寸可提供最佳的分辨率清晰度。
4.液体最容易从溶解度最小的溶剂中吸附;良好的溶剂可以成为良好的解吸剂。
5.高极性液体易于吸附。具有羟基或含氧的化合物可被强烈吸附。
6.对于相似的化合物,分子量越高,选择性越高。
7.对于相似分子量的烃,吸附性随双键数的增加而增加。

应用

沸石是一种微孔硅铝酸盐矿物,可用作分子筛和多种阳离子(如Na+、 K+、Ca2+、Mg2+等)的吸附剂。 沸石可用于开发各种生物反应器装置。

  2. For Zeolites 96096. I have perform sequential acid-alkaline treatment to enhance the removal percentage of cation heavy metal in water system. Could you provide me the maximum concentration of acid-alkaline treatment, temperature and contact time? Thanks

    1. Unfortunately, there is no protocol available regarding the acid-alkaline treatment for this product. Empirically, it is suggested to use 1 mol/L acid/alkaline solution at room temperature for 30 mins - 2 hrs.

  3. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

  4. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.   8. this zeolite is a natural zeolite?, i.e., the Clinoptilolite.?. how would I know, if only ZEOLITE is mentioned on the bottle.

    1. As mentioned in previous questions, this is a Type 13X version belonging to the X-type family of zeolites. While some zeolites are naturally occurring, X-type zeolites are manufactured to assure consistent pore size and adsorption.

  9. Is it possible to encapsulate in it?

    1. Zeolite is reportedly often utilized to encapsulate metals for use as catalysts. This product is considered a Zeolite 13X type. The pore size is estimated to be approx. 1 nm (<10 Å) and the particle size is <20 μm. Suitability would have to be determined by the researcher.

  10. How many grams of water can this Zeolite hold per gram?

    1. This product is a Zeolite 13X type. According to one publication, the 13X type has a capacity of 23% at 35 deg. C. Adsorptive capacities change with temperature. See the links below for additional information:
