一般描述

Propyl gallate is a synthetic phenolic antioxidant (SPA) utilized in food additives to inhibit or regulate the lipid oxidation. SPAs are cost-effective, largely available and highly efficient in comparison to their natural counterparts.[1]

应用

Propyl gallate may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations[2][3] and fatty liquids[1] by chromatography[2][3][1] and spectrophotometry.[3]
