Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) are a subset ofleukocytes (or White Blood Cell, WBC), which are integral components of thebody′s immune system that fight disease. PBMCs consist of a mixture oflymphocytes (T cells, B cells, and NK cells) and monocytes and are isolatedfrom peripheral whole blood via density gradient centrifugation and red bloodcell lysis.

Used for a variety of applications, PBMCs arefrequently utilized in drug discovery/development, assayvalidation/development, and other immunology applications.
