Coenzyme Q6 (CoQ6) is also known as ubiquinone-30 in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.[1] It is a flavoprotein that utilizes flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) as a co-factor for the synthesis of coenzyme Q.[2] It is composed of three conserved regions- a FAD/ nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) + hydrogen (H) (NADH) binding motif, an adenine di phosphate (ADP) binding motif and a consensus sequence, that binds to the ribityl moiety of FAD.[3]

애플리케이션

CoQ6 has been used:
  • as an internal standard for the liquid-chromatography mass-spectrometry for the quantification of CoQ6[4]
  • to determine its effect on peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR)[5]
  • in reversed-phase high pressure liquid chromatography to quantify yeast quinones[6]
