(2-Hydroxypropyl)-γ-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) is a hydrophilic compound that can be used as a complexing agent to increase the aqueous solubility and dissolution rate of the drug molecule.[1][2]

애플리케이션

For R&D use

HP-β-CD can be utilized to improve the aqueous solubility and dissolution rate of zolpidem (ZP) upon complexation. ZP-HP-β-CD complexes showed improved ataxic activity.[1]
It is also used to enhance the wound healing property of curcumin by increasing the water solubility.[3]
