ピオグリタゾン塩酸塩は PPAR γ作動薬およびチアゾリジンジオン（TZD）抗糖尿病薬です。ピオグリタゾンは 核受容体ペルオキシソーム増殖因子－活性化受容体γ（PPAR-γ）の選択的作動薬であり、PPAR -αに対しての弱い選択的作動薬です。

ピオグリタゾン塩酸塩は PPARγ作動薬およびチアゾリジンジオン（TZD）抗糖尿病薬です。
