ビウレット法とローリー法を用いてタンパク質を測定します。前者は臨床アッセイに広く用いられています。後者は感度が高く、調査研究に使用されていますが、複合試薬の安定性が低く、色の再現性がなく（特に低タンパク質濃度）、タンパク質濃度との色素生産反応が非線形であることから、使用が制限されています。OhnishiおよびBarrはローリー法のビウレット試薬を改変し、複合試薬の安定性を改善しつつ方法を単純化しました。
アプリケーション
原理
比色分析、エンドポイントアッセイ。 Ohnishi と Barr′によるマイクロローリー法の修正。手順に従って、希釈ビウレット試薬を、ペプチド結合と反応させると、紫-青錯体を生成します。この色は、フェノール試薬を加えると濃くなります。吸光度は、550-750 nmに読み取られ、標準的な曲線から結果を決定するのに用いられます。
