BUB1 is spindle checkpoint kinase that modulates kinetochore-independent segregation of chromosomes and cell proliferation. This kinase regulates the phosphorylation of MAD1 and itself. As a result, BUB1 mediates chromosome-spindle attachments during mitosis. BUB1 also phosphorylates Cdc20 which subsequently facilitates accurate checkpoint signaling [1]. Monoclonal Anti-BUB1 antibody is specific for human BUB1 (approx. 150 kDa).
