Zinc finger protein GLI1 is also called Glioma-associated oncogene and Oncogene GLI. GLI1 is a transcriptional activator that regulates specific genes during normal development. GLI1 also mediates SHH signaling (and therefore cell proliferation and differentiation) and possibly is involved in craniofacial, central nervous system, gastrointestinal tract, and digital development. GLI1 is expressed in the testis, myometrium, fallopian tube, and brain.

Uterine leiomyosarcoma (LMS) contributes to a significant proportion of uterine cancer deaths. It is a rare and high-risk gynecological cancer. LMS is challenging to the treatment due to the resistance of several therapies. The activation of the Hedgehog (HH) pathway
Replicative immortality is a key feature of cancer cells and it is maintained by the expression of telomerase, a promising target of novel therapies. Long-term telomerase inhibition can induce resistance, but the mechanisms underlying this process remain unclear. The Sonic
