Clone 1D23 is a ZooMAb^® rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that detects Aromatase. It targets an epitope within 17 amino acids from the internal part of the protein.

Applicazioni

Quality Control Testing

Evaluated by Western Blotting in human brain tissue lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution of this antibody detected Aromatase in human brain tissue lysate.

Tested Applications

Affinity Binding Assay Analysis: The binding affinity of this antibody to Aromatase peptide was at least one thousand-fold (1,000X) higher than that obtained with the non-specific control peptide.

Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected Aromatase in human placenta tissue sections.

Aromatase (UniProt: P11511; EC:1.14.14.14 also known as CYPXIX, Cytochrome P-450AROM, Cytochrome P450 19A1, Estrogen synthase) is encoded by the CYP19A1 (also known as ARO1, CYAR, CYP19) gene (Gene ID: 1588) in human. Aromatase is member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes that is primarily responsible for the conversion of androgens to estrogens. Aromatase is expressed in various tissues including the ovaries, placenta, skin, adipose tissue, and brain. Its activity is crucial for the biosynthesis of estrogens. Mutations or dysregulation of CYP19A1 gene have been associated with conditions such as aromatase excess syndrome and estrogen-dependent breast cancer. Aromatase inhibitors are used in the treatment of estrogen-sensitive breast cancer. CYP19A1 expression is altered with aging and in neurodegenerative conditions and may play a role in major depressive disorder, autism spectrum disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. This ZooMAb^® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. Stato fisico

Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Ricostituzione

300 µg/mL after reconstitution at 25 µL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.

Stoccaggio e stabilità

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
